About David
David holds esteemed positions as a Professor in Practice, Strategic Director, and Head of the Africa Trade Policy Programme at the London School of Economics Firoz Lalji Institute for Africa. He has served as the Director of the African Trade Policy Centre at the UN Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and as the Head of the UNDP Trade and Human Development Unit in Geneva. He also held the role of UNDP Trade and Globalisation Adviser for Southern Africa and Chief of Trade at the African Union. David has contributed significantly to academia, previously serving as an Associate Professor at Dalhousie University in Canada.
Education
David holds a PhD in African Political Economy from the School of Oriental and African Studies and an MSc. and BSc. from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
